What's on my Roof

Wonder why your roof has those ugly black streaks running down them? The black streaks running down roofs are actually a algae called Gloeocapsa magma. As this algae forms on the roof it causes those unsightly black streaks. Gloeocapsa Magma arrives on roofs through the air, and requires a moisture-rich environment, usually with shade, dew, and humidity. Typically, roof algae show up beneath trees and on the north facing sides of a roof, which receives less light. Don't worry these ugly streaks can be safely cleaned without damaging your roof. GreenWay never uses pressure to clean your roof, our No-Pressure Roof cleaning process will safely remove those streaks leaving you with a beautifully restored roof. GreenWay Pressure Washing is a locally owned company, fully insured and Certified in Roof Cleaning through the UAMCC.
